Work Experience.

Can you offer a Friends First trainee a next step on their journey away from inconsistent or long-term unemployment back into sustainable paid work?

Work experience placements are highly valuable opportunities giving individuals crucial sector specific experience, and important up-to-date employer references, all whilst increasing their ability to step with greater confidence back into the world of paid employment.

Friends First trainees are tried and tested, and Friends First are careful not to link trainees with work experience opportunities prematurely.

Friends First offer employers and trainees ongoing support throughout the duration of any work experience placement.

Work placements are on a volunteer basis, are timed, are monitored, with a specific purpose.

Employers are required to contribute to the trainees travel and food expenses, have their own liability insurance, and provide all the necessary induction and training required for the role.

Taking on a volunteer with aspirations can be a greatly rewarding process, not just for the volunteer, but equally for the organisation or person responsible for the placement.
